Sipnosis: The film is based on a historic episode which took place in Argentina during the Rosas´ dictatorship. Camila O´Gorman, an eighteen year old aristocrat, falls in love with a young parish priest and runs away with him. Using false names they carry on a simple life as school teachers across the border in Uruguay. Chased by Camilla’s father, by the church authorities and by Argentina´s military high command they are discovered and condemned to be shot in the prison where they are held. Camila O´Gorman and her lover Ladislao Gutierrez where executed August 18th, 1848.
